Mick & Tori

Mick and Tori came to stay with us for a few days during their fall break. We had a lot of fun with them. We visited the Bluebell Corn Maze, carved a pumpkin, and visited a raptor discussion at the local Museum.

Mick had visited the Corn Bellies Maze at Thanksgiving Point and ours didn't compare too favorably. They had fun anyway.

I think they enjoyed the bin of corn kernels the most. Tori loved throwing them in the air.

My mom says this was my dress when I was in Jr. High. I do not remember that at all. But my girls have enjoyed it right to shreds. At Megan's 8th birthday party I thought there might be blood over who got to wear the dress. The torch (or rather dress) has been passed. A 3rd generation is now enjoying it. Don't the shoes add that little something extra?? :)

Clark was calling on a client and received one pumpkin for making a guess on the weight of a really big pumpkin. Of course the kids could not agree on a face to carve, so this pumpkin ended up with two. The big round eyes are the princess pumpkin and the other side is the Mick side.

The Utah Museum of Natural History -- more commonly called the dinosaur zoozeum by Lijiah -- has programs about once a month. This month it was a raptor presentation. The lady giving the lecture had 3 birds that she showed. She also had these items for display. The tail feathers from a red tail hawk. Some feathers from an owl -- so soft so there would not be any rustling and they could fly silently. A talon gripping a tennis ball. Julie does not like birds at all, so I was a little surprised at how thoroughly the kids enjoyed the show.

I don't remember if Mick's hand was in the air with an answer or question. He had plenty of both.
