Some time in January Megan called and said she had heard on the radio that George Strait and Reba McEntire would be performing at the Energy Solutions Arena in April. Even though I don't listen to the radio much now days, these are two of my all time favorites. I said how would you like to go to that concert for your birthday. "Twist a little harder, Mom." So she picked up the tickets for herself, me, and Clark. Oh, the anticipation. The weekend of the Buffalo Run (the week before the concert) we went to a Chinese restaurant and look at my fortune. First time I've ever had one that was right on.
Happy Birthday to Megan. Happy Birthday to Beverly.
LeeAnn Womack was the warm up person.
Then ..................
Reba and LeeAnn did a duet "Does He Love You?"
Probably the highlight of the evening was when "Barbara Jean" (the co-star of the sitcom Reba) arrived on stage to see her favorite country star perform. Can you see the photo on her shirt -- George Strait. Hence the look on Reba's face. It was so fun.
For Reba's encore she arrived back in the arena in a yellow cab wearing her "Fancy" red dress. She totally dominated the evening.
George is just a more mellow, soothing kind of performer. I enjoyed his segment, especially when he sang "Amarillo by Morning." That has always been one of my favorites.
I wasn't the only one who thought Reba stole the show.

Thank you, Clark, for taking us out for our birthdays. It was incredible!!

Looks like a wonderful night!
That does sound fun. Not too many chances to get to see them both at the same time.
I'm so jealous, Bev! It sounds like a great concert. Wish we could have been there, too. I'm glad I can read your blog and keep up with all your family happenings!
