Day After Thanksgiving Festivities

The day after Thanksgiving was a busy day. Adam, Julie, Mick, & Victoria as well as Jarod, Jamie & Lilli spent the day with us. Mick & Tori helped me hang a few more CD's in the tree. It is a dazzling effect. Jarod says he feels like he's in a disco when the sun starts shining on the CD's and they send rainbows through the house. I feel like PollyAnna. :) Either way, it is a fun tradition. Clark set up the blow up decorations in the house first to make sure they didn't have holes or leaks. I have had to repair the stand up Santa several times. Good Ole Pilot Santa, has never had any trouble. They had to take a breather after all that hard work.
Mick wouldn't even get on the 3rd rung of the ladder because it was too high, but Uncle Jarod and Grandpa convinced him the roof was a very cool place to be. Of course, if he could be up there, Tori was not to be left on the ground.
Grandpa and the girls waiting in the warm suburban for the parade of lights to start. The company Rhett works for, B.H.I., entered this float. It was beautiful. I'm not really sure what this float started out as, but the way the lights blurred was kind of cool. My sister, Donneita Jackson's, family always enters a tree (the snowflake tree) in the Trees for Charity event. Her husband died from cancer 5 years ago and they use this as a fund raiser for their team in the Relay for Life. We all enjoyed being inside the warm bldg after the cold parade. There were lots of activities downtown and in the Western Park. We didn't make it in time for the camel rides, rats. But the one thing Mick really enjoyed at Western Park was the cars. The organizers were trying so hard to keep it sanitary. The kids had to put on the disposable shower caps before they could put on their helmets. Lots of hand sanitizer was also dispensed. Jamie, Julie, and I visited the Santa's Workshop craft show. We saw so many things that were fun. We said we can go home and make that. And we probably could, if we could just remember when we got home what it was we were going to make. ;) I love my family and I am so glad that we got to visit with so many of them today.
