Adam and Julie invited us to share their Pioneer Day Celebration this year. Friday evening there was a nice BBQ hosted by one of Adam's employees. It was fun to meet the men we have heard sooo much about.
Saturday morning, July 24th, the Spanish Fork parade started off with a bang. Literally. A group of civil war re-enactors led the parade with muskets and a cannon. At the middle of every block they stopped and shot the cannon and the muskets. Fantastic.

There was a group of tractors, but this was by far my fave.

There were two different groups of bag pipers. Erin loves Scotland so this photo is for her.

What is a parade without candy. The kids had just got a good handful.

Kade didn't get any candy, but he is still one of the happiest guys in town.

This was Clark's favorite float. It is a plane flying through a barn. I wish I would have gotten a better shot of it.

This one just made me think of my dad. He ALWAYS had pink pigs. I have to admit, though, I didn't ever see one fly.

We got back to the car and we all immediately started checking for messages and sending texts.

This was Spanish Fork's big Fiesta Days celebration. They blocked off a whole block of street and had a carnival. The kids were the only ones on this ride. Tori looks like she was having some super fun.

We went back to their house after this and enjoyed some time with the family there and then we headed east. Thanks Adam and Julie for sharing your kids with us and showing us a great time.
