July 22 - 30
On Friday the 22nd I drove to SLC and picked up Lijiah and Jake and brought them home for a visit. Vernal celebrated Pioneer Day on Saturday. After the parade, Clark took the kids to Ace Hardware and bought them each a remote control pickup. It was a good idea that didn't work perfectly. All 3 trucks ran on the same frequency. It caused some headaches.
Julie and the kids stopped by for a quick visit. We snapped a quick photo of all six grandkids.
The day started with the annual Boy Scout Breakfast. Jamie and Lilli were here to join us.
Clark had just marched them all over to the hydrant to wash the syrup off their hands. No towels to dry.
The Parks and Rec department had this bouncy obstacle course for the kids to play on. Up, down, around, repeat. And repeat again, and again. Lije and Jake had a super time.
They do love each other.
When Lilli decided she didn't like the bouncy house, she and Jamie headed over to the park. Jamie found this glider that worked great for her.
The parades get smaller each year. This was beautiful.
After the parade it was time to hit the pool. I don't know if you can see Lilli's wonderful outfit. I was trying to keep her good clothes dry for her later activities so we dug something out of the "kid drawer".
Little boys and fire. Hot dogs and marshmallows. I think I've eaten more hot dogs this summer than the last several years combined.
Knock on wood. The boat is up and running. These two are water dogs. The water was so cold it would take their breath away when they jumped in. But did that stop them???
