What would the marathon weekend be if we did not "Clean the Sink at Angie's", a local restaurant. This is what Mick looks forward to the most.
Maybe next year (if they decide to do T.O.U. again) Kade will help us clean the sink. This year he was not interested at all.
The next morning the runners were up at 4:30 am. That alone would stop me. Julie and Lily (her friend) were both hoping for a Boston qualifying time of 3:40 or less. Lily made it in 3:09. Julie developed some foot issues at about mile 10 and slowed down. She would have made it if she could have kept her starting pace. If she couldn't make 3:40 she really wanted to do it under 4:00 and she did. I am so grateful they let me tag along for these special events. I love the excitement at the finish line.
Julie, black shirt and pink hat, at about mile 24. Up hill on Logan's Main Street.
Seconds from the finish line. Yeah for Julie!!!!!
Julie and Lily after they had caught their breath and got a big drink.
