Picnic in American Fork Canyon

Early in the week Clark decided we should meet the kids in SLC and have some family time before winter comes. We coordinated schedules and determined that on Saturday morning we would fly in to Salt Lake #2 airport, very close to Megan's house. She would pick us up and we would rendezvous with Jarod's family and Adam's family for a picnic. Adam ran in the Hobble Creek 1/2 marathon that morning (placing in the top 100 total, 12th in his age group, I might add) and then was planning to take his family camping.

Jarod, Jamie, & Lilli met us at Megan's house and we rode with them to American Fork Canyon where we chose a nice little picnic area -- which happened to be right on the bank of whatever stream runs through AF Canyon. The water was only about a foot or less deep and not at all swift running. For about a nano second the kids tried to stay dry. Then it was first one foot, then the other, and finally "oops" they all fell down. We let them just play in wet clothes for a while then it occurred to us they really should be dry for the trip home so we took all the clothes, wrung them out and laid them in the sun to dry. That did not slow down the fun though. Underwear is just as good as a swimming suit, right?? They had a ball and we thoroughly enjoyed being with them and watching the fun.

Clark used to tease me about taking a lot of photos. He has a new camera with a rapid fire trigger. He took about 450 pictures to my 65 for the day. His camera takes a higher pixel photo than mine. In this blog posting I can only post 2 at a time of his pictures. That is why there are a lot of postings all of the picnic. Anyway. They are here (be grateful I didn't try to post more). He just taught me how to shrink his photos. It was a great day. Thanks kids. We love you all.

Is this a muscle bound bunch or what??
